RE: Region2 DVD COPY
You need a program called dvd2svcd,but you will only get the film on one disc if it`s less than 80 mins, unless you use 90 min disc`s of cause.It`s also a slow process as first you need to copy the audio and visual files to you hard drive then you need a program called TMPGEnc to convert them into mpeg2. Try a site called www.cdr-info.com for more advice if you need it the guys there are great.

Im an engineer for B.T and I carn`t agree more with the guy above ( and I not just being biased) the amount of customer`s that we are reconnecting back to B.T is amazing, and it`s all down to poor customer service,and before you say it B.T`s not perfect I know, but believe it or not they do care about there customer`s.So id stay with B.T you`ll be coming back sooner or later anyway!.

firmware update
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could help.I have a phillips dvd 701 and I would like to know if there is a firmware update that I could use that will allow me to play mp3`s and svcd`s,I have just updated the to the latest version for my player, but this has made no change.Is there another player in the phillips range whose firmware is compatable and would allow mp3`s and svcd`s?... Thanks...

I got my phillips dvd 701,way back in late 99 i think!,£200 it cost,but its not multi region,won`t play mp3`s or svcds but who cares its still the dogs b****cks to me.

I didn`t think it had been released,seen it loads of times on vhs,but frankly after dvd who wants to go back to vhs?...never mind ive waited this long another year won`t hurt!!!
P.S Tesco`s are doing buy one get one free at the moment and only £12.99, not a big selection though.

Usually at Blockbuster they have a list on the counter listing all the releases for the next 5 months or so...they do at mine in Doncaster, don`t know about any others though,I would think it would be standard practice as they must get sick of people asking when each film comes out...Hope this helps.

hi,
I have a phillips 701 dvd player, and all i would like to know is will it play 90 min cdr`s in vcd format,a friend of mine who is quite knowlegable when it comes to cdr media, thinks it may not play them...Thanks
