RE: Another newbie question about PAL/NTSC

Thanks for the help. I got to work now.

Another newbie question about PAL/NTSC

This has probably been asked before. I ran the search on this and found some info, but something is still unclear to me. I ran the multi region hack on my philips dvd-711 and it worked, except for the black and white thing. Now I know that you need that RGB signal supportive scart and all, but my tv only has one scart socket and I don`t know if it supports NTSC as such.(probably doesn`t) My question is that is it enough that the dvd player has the auto function and it supports it, or do I have to get a new tv ?

RE: Philips DVD-711 question

Sorry, I did the search but didn`t notice that the threads continue. Something wrong w/ my home computer. Anyway thanks for referring me to that,I found what I was looking for.

Philips DVD-711 question

I used the Philips 750 hack to get my DVD player(R2) to run R1 DVD`s also. The hack apparently worked since it plays the dvd, but the picture comes up black and white. What I`m asking is where could the problem be? Is it the hack or something to do with the tv? My tv is also a Philips.
Appreciate any info
