RE: Free Copy of T3 Gadget Magazine

None left!

Annoyingly friendly girl got me to sign up for 3 issues for a fiver instead.

Think I`ll cancel after that.

Cheers to the OP though.

RE: XBOX 360 £249.99 at Argos!

Forgot to say that it IS the premium pack.

XBOX 360 £249.99 at Argos!

Plus they have other offers with games and extra Mad catz controller.

Seem to have plenty of stock,

RE: Free Virgin Rail Tickets

Cheers for that. Not over hopeful on getting what I want.

RE: HMV 20% off this Friday and Saturday (20/21 Oct 2006) online only

My Postman was the same! Fantastic service from HMV.

They have put annoying little labels on each DVD wrapper, not a great problem I guess - and at least it reminds me how little I paid for them. 4 quid for latest Star Wars - bargain!

Cheers all

RE: HMV 20% off this Friday and Saturday (20/21 Oct 2006) online only

I think the site is slow only because of the amount of people that want to take advantage of this for once GREAT offer!

I persevered and bought a load of bargains. Some in the 3 for 15 quid offer (and still getting 20% off too!), and others that were just cheap anyway. (will spare you a breakdown of each item).

Done quite a bit of Christmas pressie buying too.

Cheers

RE: Free Theme Park Tickets (Tussauds) with The Express

Thanks a lot to the OP!

Will make a great day out

RE: 24 the game for a tenner!

Ooops, that would be my fault. The link I posted is one, where I had already clicked add basket. So you`ll already find it in your basket. Thanks Magic and soz.

24 the game for a tenner!

If like me you`ve been waiting for this game to get cheaper, Play now have it for £9.99.

RE: FREE BROADBAND!!! (terms and conditions apply)

Hello again,

Thanks for your opinions on this. I`ve chosen to stick with it, and I`ll let you know how it goes. Talktalk has been very good for me for my landline so far, and I like the fact that I earn Nectar points. As for fair usagepolicy, I`m pretty certain the limit is 40 gb, which might as well be unlimited for me as I won`t get near that.

Cheers

FREE BROADBAND!!! (terms and conditions apply)

Hello,

Talktalk are now doing free broadband if you:

-Pay a 30 quid connection charge
-Take their line rental of 11 quid a month
-Take Talk 3 international at 10 quid a month
-Sign up for 18 month contract

This will save me a fortune, as talk 3 is free landline calls, and certain free international call. I`m currently paying 36 quid a month with BT + calls.

Let me know if you see any other catches, as I have just signed up for it, and have the normal 7 day cooling off period to change my mind. BT offered me 5 quid a month off, if I sign up for another 10 months.

End of transmission

Cheers

Chris

PS for those of you currently limited to 1 Meg with BT like I was, have another look at their website because mine has changed to 3 Megs, but as always BT haven't bothered to tell me or automatically speed up my connection despite paying 25 quid just for BB!

RE: 24 series 1-4, £17.99 each at play

Thanks for that, just put my pre-order in to. Seem to remember they did this last year, and it was available everywhere - but only for a short period. If it`s the same as last year that is.

Don`t forget your nectar points!

Cheers

RE: Samsung DVD-HD945 MULTI-REGION ??

I can confirm that this hack also works on the HD950 ( a newer version I guess).

RE: Top Laptop

I have bought Acer twice now, mainly because their service was excellent on the repairs I had done to my first laptop under warranty, and I must say I am very pleased with my new one, and their service once more. Also check out how cheap the extended warranties are, (see Ebuyer for example).

There aren`t many options if you want integrated bluetooth either.

RE: 6 Way Masterplug Surge Protect extension leads....£4.99..

Robert Dyas is a southern thing, not sure how far north they have spread, but they are everywhere down south. I travelled to Cheltenham once just to visit one, so I was dead chuffed when one opened in Swindon, as they are muchos bargainos.

RE: Virtual Dolby? 100hz?

Did you make a decision?

I checked the Thomson out and it does have one RGB scart:

Dear Sir,

Thank you for contacting the THOMSON Helpline.

In reply to your question, the 28WH403S has two scart sockets, of which
one is RGB compatible.

Kind regards,

A helpful quick response.

Your post got me thinking about a new TV, and I am quite tempted by the Thomson 100HZ as I have had a Thomson for 4 years, and think its excellent. It will also work well with my Thomson DHD4000 PVR Freeview, which is also excellent.

Yeah thanks alot, used two of these vouchers now.

RE: freeview pvr recomendations ? anyone?

Sony does one, but the model number escapes me. Freeview + DVD, but not progressive scan.

PVR wise I highly recommend the Thomson DHD4000 with twin tuner and 40Gb. QED has the best price. With new software version, Home Cinema choice gave it 5/5.

RE: BT CALLER ID NOW FREE

Cheers skeezex. S`pose I should RTFFAQ!

RE: BT CALLER ID NOW FREE

Anyone know if you can manually override a provider like talktalk to make that one BT call a quarter?

RE: BT CALLER ID NOW FREE

Nice one - but I wonder whether they will let me have it, as I use talktalk for my calls.

It does say free to those using the "BT Network" for calls.

We`ll see

Cheers again to the original poster.

RE: Toshiba 32WL56 - anyone know anything??!!

Been trying to find this model too. John Lewis have the 32WL48 instock online finally, buy nowhere near as cheap as many places were advertising it. Suprisingly none of these places every goy any stock, and I`ve never seen one on the high street. Is the 32WL56 a better model than the 48???

Anyone manage to get hold of one of these, because the reviews are excellent?

HMV possible bargains - 99p steering wheel

Just got back from my local HMV (Swindon) and amongst the usual pretend sale items were a few clearance bargains.

I got an offical PS2 dance mat (for girlfriend) for £4.99
I saw a steering wheel for PC for 99p
Had some Gamecube steering wheels for a fiver I think.

Bought some DVDs for 3.99 too, because I couldn`t resist. I`m sure they are as cheap on-line.

Because I spend over 30 quid they gave me a couple of vouchers for a fiver off, over the coming month or so.

Cheers

RE: FRESH from CPW - No rental - 15p calls anytime any network, 5 p texts - Any good?

For Fred Smith:

I suggest you re-read my post. I didn`t ask what the best deal was.

I simply mentioned a deal I think is excellent - some might say a bargain.

I hadn`t heard of it before - hence I thought others might be interested. Hence it indicates a "current cheap deal".

Suggest you check first before writing patronising replies.

Cheers

PS I have a free O2 simcard - Thanks anyway syanide

FRESH from CPW - No rental - 15p calls anytime any network, 5 p texts - Any good?

My mobile contract is due for renewal this month, and I`ve just seen this deal at CPW.

I`m not fussed about a new phone and this looks very good. Wondered whether anyone has this deal. The T-mobile network is the service provider.

Samsung SP43W6HLX - 43" rear projection £599 - Any good?

Is this TV any good? Available at Currys for £599. 100 Hz and progressive scan seems reasonable for price. Anyone got one, seen one in action?
