Region 1 DVDs

Hi all, I was thinking of buying a region 1 DVD for the first time (Stephen King`s IT) from the US.

1) I`m not entirely sure if my player is multi-region- Panasonic RV-32. anyone?

2) Even if it is multi-region, I`ve heard some Warner DVDs have a new protection system in place to stop playing region 1 titles on a M-R player.
Any ideas how I could find out? Or if this applies to all Warner titles.

does this player come with normal leads- ie. so it can be played in a TV without scart ports, and does this apply to all players?

I`m new to DVD players- and since someone said this one comes with Scart & Audio leads- does that mean it can only be used on a TV with a Scart port and correct audio ports?

Is this the same with all DVD players??

HELP! PC On DVD

Has anyone got experience of playing DVD`s on a PC?
I want to know whether I should buy the widescreen version of the movie as I dont know what the difference will be on a PC between that and the full screen version.
Any advice?
