RE: HOW DO YOU USE MP3S ON A DVD PLAYER???
Well depends on how much room you have in your house. Mp3 on a dvd player in a living room can be useful to some. If you have a stereo in the same room now you can play discs which has enough music on it to play without having to switch discs constantly.
Once again all depends on the user. Not useful to everyone, but useful to some.
Looking for mail order or local store UK DVD player(100-200 quid)
I recently tried to order an Accoustic Soultions 551 for family members in the UK. Through various acts the player never made it for the Holiday season.(typo by vendor and business express seemed to lose it) The Vendor seemed to delay wanting to send out a second unit until they were out of stock of them and now is trying to force an older though ok unit.(Wharfedale 750) Though it lacks certain key features and was clearanced by tesco just before the Holidays for much less then what I paided for the Accoustic 551. So This means I will likely have to cancel my order with them and find a new place to try to do business with. SO I am looking for either local stores that offer good values or nice mail order shops that have a good model and a good price in stock.
I am looking for good ability to play ntsc titles on a very old UK TV. Originally was looking to keep close to 100 quid, but now slightly more willing to go up to 200 if need be. Mp3 and good vcd playback a plus.
Any leads on good vendors and units to consider in my expanded price ranges would be most helpful.
RE: Richer Sounds horror ...
Just wanted to check that pilgrimage street , london the the right address for such a letter? Problem is I trusted them to fix the issue since at first they seemed on the ball about the problem. Asked I wait 7 days each time to contact them and I did. When purchasing with credit cards you have limited options becuase you want to wait forever for them to fix the issue. Its only been the last two emails that have gone all wrong. Each time they rbasically prentend I have never mailed before each time. Giving themselves another 3-5 days at each leg.
Always good to not give family presents for the holiday season and still have paid for them. Ah well always nice to make good impressions in ones ability to order a simply item and have it shipped in time. Maybe they thought I wanted it Next Christmas.
Richer Sounds horror ...
Richer sounds has been horrible firm to deal with. Ordered a dvd player Mid Decemeber shipped the 20th. The order house number was typoed by Richer sounds so it missed arriving by Christmas as it was attempted to be delivered down the street. The Carrier refused to walk down the street went prompted by the owner of the house the misdelivery was attempted to.(Also have quite a phone bill from contacting them 20 quid calling from US was a prezzy for family back home)
Contacted Richer sounds nothing could be done until Jan 6 as the carrier took a long holiday. Contacted them the again after the package was not delivered after a few days.(few days after Jan 6) Told to contact again in 7 more days. Still no dvd player. Now when emailed they delay responce about 3-5 days and ask question where were answered in the previous emails all included in case needed.
A credit was also promised for the deliver charge, of course not yet credited either. IT has been over 40 days and nights still no word they likely have not even started looking into it yet from the way they are acting.
All in all not very pleased with them.
