RE: Best £100 DVD player

i had to return my cyberhome too. it wouldn`t play a number of my discs and was very selective in what CD-R`s it would accept. i bought it from Scan - BIG MISTAKE. there customer service is probably the worse i have ever come across. But like you`ve read, you can get lucky and get a good one.

RE: what dvd

check out the Pioneer DV-444 (black or silver). available at
www.multiregionmagic.co.uk/
for £199. i bought one last week (after weeks of investigation). it looks great and performs even better.

RE: cyberhome ad-l528

good for u herb. just make sure before your 30 day return expires that you try all the formats you intend to use and try as many different dvds as you can.

RE: cyberhome

have to agree with winactive. it sounded good in `home entertainment` magazine (oct 01) and i went and purchased one last week. now i am in the process of returning it and it`s costing me 20 quid in postage. lesson being - don`t always believe magazines as they get specially prepared machines, instead look at what jo public has got to say. my advice - buy a cyberhome if your into exercise (you can use it as a step)!

RE: Component video vs RGB Scart

component video is regarded by many as the best connection for dvd. however the difference between it and rgb is very marginal (and unnoticeable to your average punter). component is more commonly found as the input of projection equipment where the picture is very large.
