when i have performed the region hack is there a chance that the player will stick in one region only after a while. and is No 9 making the player multi region or just able to play region free discs

I haven`t tried any vcd on these settings but i can tell you that even the title page where you change settings is also black and white when i have changed to pal 60/M so maybe it is the tv which cannot cope with the settings. Something i will have to check into.

I have converted my pacific 1000 to multi region using advise posted on this site (thanx everyone) and changed settings to Pal 60 and also tried Pal M but the film plays in black and white on both these setting. I am using a scart lead. HELP anyone

hi cardiff the answere to your q. is yes the pacific 1000 does play svcd and very well too.i`m not sure about mp3.
