Kiiro 838d question

Can someone answer this questionfor me on the Kiiro 838d please. Can you confgure the Sub-woofer output to go to the L & R front speakers? This is sometimes called setting it to "Speaker size large". I know many players do this, but also many don`t - for example, none of the Sony players have this feature.

RE: Reoc A3 Review in What Video

For the A5 - can you set the audo mode for "large" speakers so you can re-direct the sub-woofer signal - I would need this feature - otherwise I`m sold.

RE: Barking mad?

Spine,

Thanks for the tip - I now know what I`m aiming for. Can you give me the model no. of your Sony out of interest, though I realise it may have been superceded.

Paul.

Barking mad?

I have a pro-logic set up which includes a pair of floor standing speakers but no sub-woofer. I want to add a DVD player with a 5.1 decoder. The amp (Yamaha RXV-592) doesn`t include a 5.1 decoder, but has the six inputs. It says that if you don`t use a sub-woofer, you should switch the AC-3 decoder to distribute the LFE channel to the right and left main output terminals. Is this a common feature of DVD players, or only available on separate decoders or high end players? Would I lose too much by simply not connecting it?

Thanks in advance.
