I have the Pacific PHC2000 which is the same as the Goodmans 3500PK.

Yes I get the same problem and sometimes the DVD just Sticks and I have to switch off.

It is not the dual layer pause as mentioned by Mark M.

Alzee have you sort the problem or did you get it replaced?

Pacific PHC2000 from ASDA Help (Goodmans 3500 PK)

I purchased this unit in the begining of December and DVD`s would stick and jump on it (even new DVD`s or cleaned). replaced with another one which seemed ok until now and disks again are jumping and sticking including new ones I had for christmas. I have 3 other DVD players and over 100 DVD`s and have never had this problem.

Does anyone have the unit and have they experienced the same problem. This is not the dual layer pause that does happen.

Should I get my money back and get the Goodmans 3500 PK which seems the same but in silver.

Region & MacroVision Hack for Pacific PHC2000 DVD&Sound at ASDA £199 DVD/VCD/SVCD/MP3

This DVD/Sound is the same as the Goodmans 3500PK so the hack is as follows

open drawer
type 9817
a menu which lets u change the region and macrovision on/off
for all regions press enter till region 9
press return
Some people may find that when playing region 1 DVDs
there black and white
so do the following
leave draw open
enter setup
enter video output
choose PAL
COLOUR on all regions now

Also player plays VCDs and MP3 excellent

I do not have the hack yet but if you open the tray you can type 3 numbers and the screen display - for each number.

Anyone no what this does, is it a way of changing the region
