RE: Does anyone know the web address for Thomson electronics..?

Thanks people !

The cheapest I have seen it is £138.96 at Unbeatable.co.uk. Although I don`t know how much P&P is.

I still can`t find out if it plays CD-R/RW disks though.

Cheers, Paul.

Does anyone know the web address for Thomson electronics..?

I`m trying to find the spec for model DTH5000U. Does anyone have any comments about this machine ?

Does it support CD-R/R-W media...? Does it support MP3. Also if anyone knows a good website with a review of this machine I would be grateful.

Thanks in advance, Paul.

RE: Rip off DVD’s ??

I`m sure that DVD`s must be cheaper to produce than video tapes.

Firstly with video tapes you have got 2 parts of plastic that have to be screwed together with 5 screws. Inside the cassette you have both tape reels. Also you have a complex arrangment of metal springs and plastic guides for the tape to run through, then you have the tape itself. (and the label on the front of the cassette. All in a big chunky plastic case with a paper sleeve contained within.

DVD`s on the other hand a just like CD`s they have to be made in a protective atmosphere (just like video tapes) and then burned with the film. Sometimes the case is made of cardboard or maybe plastic.

After all the DVD itself must only cost the makers a few pence each when purchased in bulk.

Like you say - another great British con.

RE: itv Digital announce amnesty for pirated cards

But is it possible for ITV digital to find out? I`m on SKY but I do know loads of people who have these pirated cards.

?

Paul.

RE: Thomson 24WT25US

I think this is right......

Only DVD players that are MP3 compatible will play CD-R/RW media, if your Thomson DVD player is not compatible then it wont play those DVD playes created on PC`s.

RE: Prime example is Pulp Fiction, which I bought from DeVoteD for about....

Why order online ?

I have been searching through various web sites/price search engines, for the Green mile. The cheapest (including P&P) was 14 quid and the most expensive was 22 quid! I don`t like to part with my money, so I wrote this one off until I saw the Tom Hanks film in my local Morrisons for 9.99. (inclusive of P&P).

They had loads of other DVD`s for 8.99 and 9.99, so whats the point in ordering online, when you have P&P charges, delays, etc...

I haven`t found a single web site where EVERY DVD is value for money (if you know different I`d love to hear from you).

What we need is an online DVD shop similar to CDWOW.com. This site is great and all CD`s include P&P, and customer service is great.

Cheers, Paul.

Meastwoo, how are you finding your Cyber Home 528 ?

I`m new to all this DVD thing (I don`t own any DVD`s), but I have ordered a Cyber Home 528 from WHSmith online for 99.99 (takes up to 3 days delivery). I have heard that it`s quite a good performing budget player, but as a user of this product what do you think ?

Paul.
