RE: Matsui 110 black and white problem, please help

At www.linkonline.co.uk it`ll cost you about £30.00 for a update kit if you solder it yourself. I have the same prob and am getting one myself. I`m gonna solder it myself, check the site to see if they have one for your player and they tell you how easy it will be to install too.

Black and White problems solved..

A while ago i posted with the prob that my player (Philips 710) would play region ones with a hack but i had to watch in black and white. I`ve discovered that apparantly it`s the hack that disables the players rpg so that it won`t play colour. Apparantly a mod kit will solve the problem provided i have a full pin scart attatchment. Just thought i`d tell you in case anyone has the same problem. I`m getting my kit from www.linkonline.co.uk. They`re pretty good.

RE: B&W Picture

I was playing `Night of the Warrior`, not terribly well known i guess, maybe it is my tv that has the problem but it is relatively new. I`ll fiddle around and see if i can change it. I hope i can because DVD`s are so much cheaper from America, i`d like to be able to take advantage of that.

I`m guessing that it can`t be helped though. It`s still a good film in black and white! :D

PS. i`m going away for a week, no further replies till next week (just in case you think i`ve abandoned you!!)

Azrael :)

Thanks guys...

that worked a treat, i don`t know how i missed the page on that (duh!), and it will do me until i get one of these kits.
I had to watch my region one dvd in black and white though, is there any way of getting colour?
Thanks again, Azrael.

Philips 710 hack anyone?

I after a hack for the Philips 710/700, or 710 002 as it says on the back. You can`t imagine my frustration upon realising i couldn`t play my disc on the player, i was convinced it was multi-region. What an idiot! Help would be appreciated.
