Just wondering if this is possible as I`m having some problems with playback of multi-movie DVDr

Sorry, have to disagree. Whereas you can`t play VCDs, you can play `backups`, involves sticking something down the side of your disc tray to forcibly open the tray so you can swap discs.

Called `knife cog swap` if I remember rightly, have a search and you`ll find something

Satisfied Pacific PDVD1000 & 750 owners

I have a Pacific 1000, multi region, VCD and MP3 playback for £90 with a 3 year guarantee. (OK, no macro off, but if you have a DVD, why do you need them on VHS???!!)

Like you others out there, im sick of seeing all the gimps slating this machine - I have no problems with mine and am extremely pleased with it. Unless you have a £1000 TV, who notices the differences bewteen this and other branded machines.

Look at www.schneider.de but dont hold your breath, I emailed them repeatly for a month and had nothing, even when I emailed them in German!!

You could ring them on 0161 374 0101 they are quite good!

If it is.., pacific hack works ...

Open draw, press 8421 (or 9999) and region 2 should appear, press enter until region 9 appears, close draw and hey presto!

Well.., ive placed my first order today - Evil Dead 3 (bootleg directors cut) and Evolution both R1.

Evil Dead was in stock this morning when I ordered, and out of stock this afternoon!! Order status is `processing`.....

Region hack for Pacific P-DVD1000

Sorry to bring this one up again, but I`d thought I would see if anyone has had any joy yet!

I have spoken to Asda help line, and they are waiting the hacks from the factory in Germany (Schneider UK also told me this).

I notice there is now a hack for the new Pacific player in Asda (and no, it doesnt work on this one!!) so just wondering - has anyone got anywhere with this???

Ive tried the German site www.schneider.de but I dont speak German, and I cant find the Engligh version.

Please help me someone!!!

Well....

no remote hack so far!

The only other information I have is that I also have a Pacific TV (yeah, i know.., but it was cheap!), this is made by schneider according to the instructions.....

Anyone think the open disc tray and enter 4 digit code is the one it may be???
