RE: LG 3000e v LG 4710

Thanks for the feedback guys. And yes, I did mean the LG 3000e, but have to say I haven`t seen it anywhere in the flesh, so to speak, It`s on the tesco site but can`t tell wether they actually have any stock. Will aslo check out those FAQ section. Thanks again both.

LG 3000e v LG 4710

Hi everyone. Tesco doing the 3000e at £149.99 with option for full refund under 14 days. Currys got 4710 at same price with 3 free DVD`s thrown in. But I want to know which is the best buy regardless of free offers. Been to the LG site but couldn`t really see an answer. Anyone out there got a 3000e? Thanks.

On my shortlist LG 3200E from Richer Sounds . . . .

Trouble with shortlists is they become very long lists before you know what`s happening. Anyhow, has anyone got one of the above, and likewise, purchased anything from these people? From what I can gather from my research, is that it can be multi region hacked via the handset and it plays rather well. But I still prefer to hear from real consumers as opposed to magazine writers before I part with any cash. Can`t afford to blunder seeing as Richer Sounds don`t refund. Asda, luckily, took back my Rowa after I jumped in too quick. I hear Tesco will take back without anyhassle but not too sure if them machines are any good. Also, on-line they don`t seem to have any low priced players anyway. Please help me out here someone. Thanks.

RE: Argos, Alba, and my questions . . . . .

Think I may have missed the boat here, Snakegamer. Went down to Argos to get one - DVD player not boat. Asked to view the product but when the sales assistant women-handled it out the box it was the 113. Thought about asking her to open her entire stock of machines but didn`t think the crowd behind would have any of it. So, still looking for the right player at the moment. Thanks anyway.

Argos, Alba, and my questions . . . . .

Hi. Anyone know the difference between the Alba 113 and the 104 that Argos say may be in the box instead? Is it a lot better, and region hackable? Looking to spend £100.00 - £150.00 ish. If so, are they still substituting them? Also, anyone brought any in the last few days? How good are they, etc?
Thanks.

RE: Asda special Rowa DVD-280

Thanks Reders. After your reply I thought it best to start all over again and have since returned the player to Asda.

Asda special Rowa DVD-280

Hello all. Just got myself a brand spanking new Rowa from Asda.
After setting it up - correctly, hopefully, we settleed down to watch a borrowed copy, for test purposes, of Arlington Road. During playback the movie froze twice. On about six occasions - hope this reads right - the picture kept going pixally. Also, it seemed to leave red shadows in places, and when a character was by a bright light, this light seemed to overwhelm their faces. My mate says his disk is okay, so I was wondering if anyone else with this player has had any similar problems. Don`t want to take it back this early in the game in case it is just a question of getting tight settins. Have got it Scart RGB conected. Have tried the menu setting in``Cinematic`` and ``Animation`` no improvement. Do you think this machine is a good purchase? Didn`t want to spend too much at this stage. Any feedback on this would be grearfully recieved.
