yes it works no problems very good player for the price i had the warfy M5 and i think the 852 is much better. You can do it by the remote dont have to do it from the front panel

You say you press 7 then 7 i have another open draw press 7 then 4 enter hidden menu region 13 next page turn macro off. I would try changing it back to region 2 for a day or so then try the hack again you never know

Ok so what was the findings of the chip? Did it work or did people fry there mother board? Out of 10 what is the player like?

Can any of you kind people give me an idea on how these player perform, can they be hacked to multi region and maco free? As im thinking of getting one or even both of them

Dont know if its the same as the 124 but its worth a try
Ok open dvd draw press 7 press 4 press enter hiden menu will apear select region 13 then goto next page and turn macro off

Ok now i am confused, i am looking into buying one of these players but the messages are confusing, is it macro free and mulit region or one or the other as my M5 is naff and im getting rid
