Review of Randall And Hopkirk (Deceased): Volume 6

1 / 10

Introduction

Ok, first things first. I`d never seen this or heard of it until I did this review and to be honest I wish it had remained that way. A 1960`s TV series with little imagination and nothing innovative to recommend it to anyone but real fans. I just sat and watched all four episodes on this single disc waiting for a comedy moment or even a piece of intense drama but nothing came. I apologise to all fans now but it did absolutely nothing for me...at all...whatsoever!

Video

The 1.33:1 framed imaged is adequate with a rather dull muted look. Colours are also very pale and the whole image lacks any real definition. Blacks are never solid and add to the overall foggy appearance. There is a large amount of noise evident in parts with some major digital artefacting.
All I can really do is put this down to the age of the production.

Audio

Mono and harsh with little or no bass to give any real ambience to the whole production.

Features

Like Mr Hopkirk...they must be invisible!

Conclusion

A poor TV show with an overall poor transfer. A disc for real fans here!
