Review for Thinksound ts02+mic In-Ear Headphone
I am awful when it comes to headphones. It would not be an exaggeration that I go through at least one pair a month. I'm not quite sure what I am doing with them, but I will loose rubber puds and be unable to put them in my ear, or one side will stop working (hich when you are listening to any songs that utilize stereo is very annoying) or they will just stop working. I don't know how I do it.
When I received the Thinksound ts02 I was a little apprehensive, especially when I saw that they cost £99.99. I mean these must be the Rolls Royce of Earphones. I expected them to have every gadget, every dial, every addition. It doesn't. In fact the lack of these is both surprising and perfect. Like a perfect shirt, you don't expect huge logos emblazoned across them, just a simple logo on the breast, done.
These earphones are wonderful for those who really appreciate listening to music. As someone who loves classical music and soundtracks, listening to The Dark Knight soundtrack or some Bach was wonderful and anyone who is a fan of Classical FM will want to invest in a pair of these as they feel like you can sense every musical instrument and every sound going through them.
As I said before, there are few features that would enable the phone, other than a button which will turn your music on and off and also answer and end a call. This is fine. This is generally all you need. It is true that maybe a second button to forward to the next track would have been a benefit, but really how difficult is it to reach down and do this. Or to press 'accept call' for that matter.
The microphone is perfect and it seems that no matter where you position it (within reason) you can be heard and what is better is that once the call ends if it interrupted your music it will continue a few seconds from where it left off. It is compatible with most phones, having tried it with both an iPhone and Blackberry there is no difference in how it works and should work on most audio devices.
Thinksound pride this device on being eco-friendly and having the smallest eco-footprint, but personally I think they should crow even more simply about how good the device is. It is true that maybe in the era of bluetooth it could seem a bit dated, but for those who still enjoy the click sound that comes from putting your jack into a device then this is definitely one for you. Though the price may put your off, for the quality it is worth it.
