im still trying to talk myself into watching episode 2 I was so underwhelmed by the 1st episode while loving The Orville 1st 2 and Strange New Worlds upto episode 6 and the very entertaining Ms Marvel 1st episode I think they have got the vibe of Obi completely wrong (for me anyway), I'm sure ill get around to it but in absolutely no rush

it does remind us/explain why years later Moff Gideon wants to go back to using droids, with the Dark Troopers rather than rely on Storm Troopers

Much what I was trying to say.
Some time since I've seen any of the Star Wars movies but they always seemed to have a lightness of touch which this lacks.
I think you have to watch them all just because...

By the way, I did not know this, despite the fact that Star Wars is one of my favorite universes

Well I actually quite enjoyed this fourth Episode, can't call it Episode IV or it will all get too confusing!

It does seem however that some of the plot, is similar, like the escape and a tracking device being on board... perhaps that's why Leia later on say's 'They let us get escape?'
