[VIDEO] The Witcher (Netflix)

TV adaptation of the fantasy short stories and novels by Andrzej Sapkowski, which were previously adapted into the wildly successful game series.

The casting looks way off tbh. Cavill is no Geralt and Triss and Yenn don't look right at all :\

Some cheap and nasty effects in there too. Maybe it will be passable but the games still look like the better adaptation by far.

I never knew this was based on stories what some guy wrote. TIL!

So this is out now. I've actually warmed to the casting quite a bit (especially after Cavill proved his PC gamer credentials in a recent interview) but the dialogue and ropey effects aren't doing this many favours.

I will persevere in the hope that it gets better.

Oh that's a shame, I kept reading things saying the fight scenes make GoT look amateurish. Must have been clever marketing blurb.

Seen the first three episodes and I'm enjoying it! CGI seems fine.

Last 2 episodes to go. Really picks up on episode 4. I'm hooked now. Was dubious to begin with. I think they've got a hit on their hands, especially as people are desperate for a Got replacement.

First season was... okay, I guess. It had its moments but suffered from a messy structure.

Second season looks kinda nice, though.

Judging by the set pics they have upgraded the Nilfgaardian scrotum armour to something a bit more fitting.

I really found the time hopping frustrating and hard to follow, but I did enjoy it and want more.

I watched episode one of the first series and it did not make me want to watch episode two.
Found it very disjointed and confusing.

It is a bit of an oddity, but still enjoyed it. As I said before, it really changes gear from ep. 4. Looking forward to new season.
