Tom Baker still making money on Doctor Who with audio
7 years as Doc Who, which was the record. And they had difficulty trying to get rid of him at the end. He was my favorite doctor and Leela my favorite assistant, beutiful and a killer instinct.
I never really knew of him as a writer for television, but when it came to Target novelisations of Doctor Who stories... I first discovered the first to fourth Doctor stories from the novels which I borrowed from my local library, and most of them were written by Terrance Dicks.

I remember him from reading those books as well when I was around 10, about the same time I was picking up Star Trek novelisations as well as the big films like Superman, Star Wars, etc...

I remember at primary school when we were introduced to the school library, I didn't know where to start, so the librarian asked me what sort of things I liked, I must have said Dr Who, and she found a Terrance Dicks Dr Who novel for me.
weird what things we remember, and what we forget isn't it!
