That was a fantastic Dr Who episode, long overdue but that's definitely ramped up the quality of writing and acting.

I'm as far as Witchfinder and it's hard yards.
SPOILER:
I got as far as royalty before a huge, involuntary, out loud 'Oh FFS'.

It's all Earth based with a 'Let's throw Jodie in the mix'.
Poor woman's doing her best but the writing is just not up to it.

I could well end up not bothering with the rest.
Someone convince me.

Realised I had missed a week and it was episode ''Kerblam' which was a mixture of Amazon warehouse meets Tom Bakers robots of death' (watched it on catchup).

I honestly preferred Tom Bakers 'robots of death' classic episode as one of his best, better storyline and more entertaining, and worth watching, and still remembered after decades.

Unfortunately kerblam will not be.

PS....Robots of death is based on a large mobile mining crawler on a distant planet, full of nasty programmed robots.

Well finished all 10 episodes.

Conclusions: Was OK for a first season with the new female Doctor. Not outstanding. Though I did like the historical episodes, and other episodes ranged from good to bland. Some episodes a lot of money put into it, others not, to balance the budget.

Overall: Seems this Doctor is more a team player, as just one of four traveling through time and space, and not the more traditional 'Doctor solves everything with companions always in danger'.

I like this format. Hope stories improve for next season.

Well I really enjoyed that episode of The A Team, I mean Doctor Who, really cool take on the Daleks, with plenty of cracking interaction between the boy and his dad and gramps, wwaw and by far the best episode so far of the New Docs story.

I enjoyed it too, it was fun. My problem with DW is the same problem I've had since it was rebooted, the editing. They rarely let the dialogue breath. :(

To be fair, they only have 45 minutes in every episode to save the Earth

well after the Capaldi incarnation (worst since Peter Davidson) i was unsure about a woman playing The Doctor, but she is brilliant!
