Murder in Millwaukee - wow, again a situation that seems to have no solution, and you can see how the gun culture in USA is completely alien to us, it really is a different world :( The weapons that people own for self defense, because they "have to" due to risk of home invasions and the need to be prepared :(

Louis mentioned about the lack of value in life, which is odd, and so sad, some of these shootings happening over something said on social media.

We watched the Anorexia one earlier in the week. Interesting, learned some things I never knew about it, or had never occurred to me, sufferers wanting to stand for long periods of time, or do a large amount of star jumps to burn off calories they thought they needed to :( It did occur to us strange he didn't talk to any men, as from what I've heard on the news more men are admitting to suffering from eating disorders, maybe they didn't want to be filmed, or aren't treated at that hospital?

Then tonight we watch the Scientology Movie. That was interesting, and funny in places (which has been missing recently), but also disturbing and scary the power they "allegedly" have, and things they "allegedly" do.

Definitely worth a watch.

Turned on my Roku stick & under new streaming channels UKTV play has been added. Under the category of documentaries there are several by Louis Theroux including A Different Brain, Louis Theroux shorts, Louis Theroux law and disorder in Laos, & Louis Theroux law and disorder in Johannesburg. Also, The most hated family in America.
Surprised they are streaming boxsets but it's a nice freebie.

November 4th

More depressing stuff :(
Quote:
For this series we looked at the new ways Americans are approaching some of humanity’s oldest dilemmas: pregnant mums who feel unequipped to keep their babies and so pick new parents for them; the world of polyamory aka 'ethical non-monogamy'; and people with debilitating conditions who opt to hasten their own deaths.

Love Without Limits

that was interesting, kind of thought the people wanted to have their cake and eat it, wanted the best of 2 world/families, and their partners let them do it out of risk of losing them if they didn't :(
Maybe it's one of those things unless you think that way it's hard to understand?

Choosing Death

The people wanting to end their life due to medical conditions etc. was sad, but understandable, but that part of it wasn't that unusual, what was more interesting was the group who help ppl commit suicide, but don't actually help them, as that would be illegal, but offer advice on how to do it, what to do. Grey area, and hard to see exactly what their boundaries are and their "rules".

Not watched the other one yet

Still wish he would do light and fluffy :(

Interesting again, shame for the most part you only heard one side of the story, and I guess we'll never know what happened, only 2 people do (maybe), but still seems sad that students are being taught how to behave, I "guess" it's a good thing, but I was never  taught these things, I'm pretty sure as a teenage boy I would make suggestions, the girl say no, I'd go home unhappy ;)
