"Really, wtf was Partey doing? Close to a red on its own."
I thought it was a stonewall red card but I'm not sure how VAR works in this respect. If he's already been given a second yellow and is off anyway, can VAR overturn it to a straight red? Obviously makes a difference in terms of the length of ban, receiving a straight red instead of two yellows, as the former constitutes violent conduct.
And on the performance itself, I feel your pain. A replica of our semi against Chelsea, whereby aside from a valiant rearguard action in the first leg by your lot, I didn't for one second throughout either tie feel that Chelsea and Liverpool weren't going through.
The chasm between the top three (even though Chelsea are having an average patch at the moment) and the rest is huge, and not likely to get smaller for another few years yet.
AWFC managed a 2.1 win over Brighton at home last night after being a goal down at half time.
Eidval either found the right button to push or ar*e to kick in the interval as they were a completely different team in the second half.
Back to being Arsenal rather than the disappointing mess that lost to Birmingham.
Miedema breaking a dry run for the first, I'm guessing she's distracted by who she's going to sign for next season. Looking increasingly likely it won't be us.
The second an absolute peach of a free kick by Mead.
Check out the highlights if only for that.

After going a goal down it looked like our run since xmas was going to continue, so this is good!

Transfer deadline day feels like we've sold or given away half a squad with nobody coming in.
Maybe Kroenke's closing the team and has sold the Emirates for housing.
Nowhere near as bad as it sounds but we've sure as hell cleared the decks for some summer business.
Let's just hope who we have gets us enough by the end of the season.

Hopefully Abou going to Barca goes through, not having that cloud hanging over every press conference will be nice.

Not to mention about 25 million in wages saved.

Happy for Chambers, he needs regular games to improve and deserves more than being a utility player. I'm also happy we didn't get a striker, because I really want Martinelli to be given his chance to be our first choice.

Interesting about Abou:

Most interestingly is Arteta, who has clearly and openly laid out expectations that if his players don't follow, no matter who they are and how important they may be, they aren't bigger than the team. Reminds me of Fergie, which is no bad thing.

Suddenly I miss our old Manc supporting friend.
That's five seasons without a pot now

One of my favourite type of goal is when you're down to ten and you nick one because the opposition are so damn sure they're going to stuff you.
Miedema to Blackstenius.
Thank you we'll have those two points back please
