I keep seeing Arsenal linked with Sterling, and wondering why. Where would he play? You wouldn't pick him over Saka and Smith-Rowe, and it feels like a striker is what we are missing right now (maybe we have a player already that can fill that role, but Abou/Laca take the spot).

I'd just look who's doing the linking as there's nothing current from any of the sources I trust.
Just journos filling column inches and generating clicks.
Possibly also his agent just keeping him in the headlines if he's not happy or thinking of a move. I've no idea where he is in his contract but that could be a factor (re sign me or sell me).

Yes we need a striker but we do seem to have a couple or three that are being under used Balogun, Nketiah, Martinelli.
I'll be interested to see if we sell or sign anyone in January.

If you didn't see the WSL North London Derby I'd look out the highlights.

Definitely had the pulse rate up.

Everything about us seemed just that bit off.
One touch too many or too heavy. Just that pace slower.
Even with that we should have been two or even three in front by half time.
Woodwork twice and every shot seemed straight at the keeper, who I have to admit played a blinder.
Glad that LacaMiedema knocked in an equalizer in injury time.

The ref should've given herself a red card for denying a scoring opportunity.
Blew up with Nobbs right through on the 18 yard line just to book Neville which she could've done on the next break in play.

If we play like that against Chelsea in the final we'll lose and if we play like that v Barcelona the 5.0 loss in the previous match could pale into insignificance.

I saw the highlights, and I can't believe it was a draw. But also I loved the urgency after equalising, this team hates to draw!

I think we need to ignore the neighbour for a minute and address Anfield.

Not quite the sh*t show it first appears.
We were only going to get something if everybody clicked and played to their max which we can't say they did. I always hope but said before the match it was probably a season too early to expect to get anything from it.

A group of mostly young players only twelve games played in the league and the first three of those best forgotten.
Partey always seems to have a problem the first match back from being out for any reason.
Nuno Tavares just had one to forget, he hasn't stopped being a bloody good prospect over ninety minutes.

Klopp's been honing that team for a few seasons now yet even he/they let in seven playing Villa just over a year ago.
I think the players and Arteta will have learnt a lot from that.

Let's see Howe we get on v Newcastle.

I only watched the first half our of the corner of my eye, and it didn't look remotely as one sided as previous games have been, which feels a little like progress. But I couldn't watch the second half (not at home!) and kind of glad I didn't even half watch it.

Will be more interesting to see what the return leg is like, and probably right now games vs teams that aren't Liverpool/City are a better judge of our progress.

(I see what you did there 😂)
