Liverpool, reigning Premier League Champions, 2020/21 Thread

Well the season is two games in and two decent performances so far.  We'll need many more to get close to defending the title.
A top signing in Thiago, he looks like he's played for us for years.
Looking forward to this season and many rivals have really strengthened well on paper and in some results too.
Weird seeing City get so comprehensively beaten yesterday, what is Pep going to do about it....  I read that is 10 defeats in last 36 league games, we are 10 in 128 apparently.
Big game tonight and we have some key injuries too.  Fabhino has covered well last few times at CH and will need to be on top to keep Aubama quiet again.
Let's see.
One little comment about the 'new' handball interpretation - what a joke.  It's absolutely crazy, penalites given against players not even looking and with balls taking deflections from a few feet too.
People have arms and they need to move them in order to jump.  These people seem to have no clue how the actual game is played - it really needs sorting out.
Come on you REDS!!

As funny as it would be to take three points the way Tottenham lost two I really hope it doesn't happen (the method not the three points).

The stats at the end of MOTD on how many pens and handballs compared to La Liga and Seria A last season looks like, unless they seriously address the problem, this season could be a joke.

Great performance last night, probably could and should have been more but 9 points from a tricky game against Leeds and the Chelski and Arsenal are not to be snuffed at.
Some great performances all round, a rare mistake from Robbo gifted a goal but nice to see Jota score on his home debut.

Can't deny that your level is to be aspired to but you've had four seasons to get there.
Certainly looking favourites to retain the title on present evidence.

Jota appears to be a good addition to an already formidable squad...

Oh well, out of the cup.
Thought we edged it in the 90 but hey ho - some great saves. Jota was looking good so not sure why he was taken off. Poor Divok pen.

Had to work, or try to, so haven't seen it.
Not very often you lose at home so pleasing from that point of view.
I'd probably have had the same attitude as you if we lost though.

Just found the Maitland-Niles penalty. That boy should wear shades when he plays.

Oh my word...how many Liverpool fans were laughing at Man United at 1815 hrs?

I had it on the radio.
Picked a fare up when it was 4.1

'Is that the Liverpool match?'

'Are you a red?' (I knew the answer from the tone of voice)

'Yeh, this is embarrassing'

Went to 5.1 just as he was getting out

Groan 'Oh Jesus'

Awful all round.
One of those crazy days and results. Everything they hit went their way with some mad deflections too.
And we were so, so poor. Really missing our captain still and a worry with keeper being out for a while too.
Need to get it right for our next game, that's for sure...
