I didn't realise it was that much."

Hehe, now look at how much we spent in the 12 years previous...

Still, since last summer we now have new players in all positions bar RB, where I fully expect Seamus Coleman to pick up the Captain's armband...

Good match, thought we were pretty solid and comfortable even when down to 10 men, and I wouldn't have been so confident in coming away with any points last season in a similar position.

Can't really argue with the red card, but I fully expected Jags to be dropped next week anyway so that makes the decision easier.

Thought Keane was pretty good bar the mistake for their second, and he was pants last season next to Jags and Williams.

Richarlison was brilliant, first goal was a tad lucky but you couldn't say that about the second...

Neville Southall's gone a bit weird, innit?

I used to think it was a spoof account but he has got seriously woke!

Well, yes and no.  He's always been an outspoken character, and whilst I may not agree with his politics i can see what he's trying to do with his twitter feed.

Again, whilst not a Guardian reader, this article is pretty good at explaining what he's trying to do: https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2018/jun/04/neville-southall-flak-sex-workers-lgbt-issues

Well, I am a Guardian reader, but I must have missed that article first time round so I'm glad you linked it. Interesting stuff.
On a side note, I would never have recognised him looking at the photo. Not a dig, just not seen him for a long time.

So...kinda forgot I'd started this...

Not a bad start to the season so far, could've been better, but actually what I can't complain about is the style of football we're playing which is far superior to the turgid defensive s***e that Allardyce served up last season.

Good to see Sigurdsson having the effect we knew he was capable of now played in the right position.

Was a little worried about Tosun, and clearly so was Silva in playing Richarlison up front, but great goal for Cenk on Sunday after not really being able to make much of an impression goal-wise at least this season so far...

Must've missed something but I gather Mr Merson must have been less than complimentary.

He upset Wrighty with some comments about AFC as well.

This explains all:

It's the sheer hypocrisy that I object to...
