The Official Liverpool 2017/18 Season Thread

dkuk2000 (Elite) posted this on Thursday, 3rd August 2017, 18:22

Thought I better get this years thread up and running.
So far LFC have signed Salah for £34m, I'm happy about the signing but think he was overpriced, However I'm happy to be proved wrong.
Sadio Mane returned from injury and not only set up a goal for Salah but scored one for himself.
Sturridge scored a great goal against Bayern Munich ............... then went off injured , Hopefully it's nothing serious but it's becoming a bit tiresome now.

Now we go into the unknown after the ridiculous transfer of Neymar from Barca to PSG, Will Philippe Coutinho be tempted to join Barca or will LFC stick to their guns and refuse to sell ?.

Well they can certainly afford to increase the bid if they really want him.

Interesting as I think the more I'm seeing the prices for most players he's looking the bargain of the transfer window and an absolute steal. 4 pre season goals too.
I can see sides being terrified of his and Mané's pace with Coutinho etc. supporting. No chance will Coutinho go now.
Hoffenheim in the CL qualifying draw could have been kinder.

We will pay the price but we will not count the cost..

I totally agree with you, My comment was meant in a past tense due to how late I created the thread.
Some of the transfer fees have been absolutely crazy compared to the Salah fee.

Sorry, I just read it as we've signed him and you think he's overpriced.
Solanke at around £3m seems unreal and I don't see how Chelsea allowed it all to happen.
It will be interesting to see how Robertson develops too but lots of potential there.
Still feel VVD deal will happen.
