Page 1 of Futureent or DVDimport?
Retailer Reviews Forum
I`m thinking of ordering a fairly old DVD title from either http://www.futureent.com or http://www.dvdimport.com and I was wondering which is the most reliable/fastest out of the two?
(I HAVE checked through previous threads on these retailers but they all seem fairly old and so may not reflect what they`re like at the moment)
Don`t know about DVDImport but Futureent are first class - DVD`s in 2-3 days
RE: Futureent or DVDimport?
Have used both of these companies a few times. Both are reliable. The difference between them really just comes down to a trade-off between speed and price. DVDimport tend to be quite a bit cheaper on most things, but they can take quite a while (normally not more than 2-3 weeks) to come, whereas Futureent charge that little bit more, but I`ve never had to wait longer than a week for stuff to come through. Last disc I got was AB`s Maniac - decieded to go with DVDimport as they only charged £11.50 for it and Futureent wanted more like £18. Ended up waiting just over 2 weeks for it to come, but in my opinion when you`re saving that much money you can afford to wait.
Chris.
I haven`t used dvdimport, but have used futureent many times and so far no complaints at all.
And they always keep you posted as to what`s happening with your order too.
Thanks for everybody`s advice - I decided to go for the quicker (but more expensive) Futureent.
you`ve made the right decision, futureent are very good
DVDimport.com ship the next day if you order a blockbuster title, as they keep them in stock. I bought from them about 40 dvds, most Criterion and yes, those took even over a month. But they have really good prices. Futereent are too expensive: if you really want fast shipping and best price check out MOVIETYME.COM. They offer free shipping to the UK, you are never charged import duties or taxes (same with DVDimport) and sometimes you receive order confirmation and shipping confirmation at the same time! They are my first choice, with dvdimport coming second.
If I can I always go to Movietyme - I love them, but they`re charging about three times as much as Futureent for the title I want... :¬( It`s the OOP `Dead Ringers` so I suppose you can`t blame them for trying to make a quick buck or two...
I take it all back, Futureent are giving me the right run-around at the moment!
