Hi all,
I am just about to take delivery of my first widescreen TV/DVD/Video package(Hooray).
I would like to know who are the top 3 DVD retailers, online and highstreet. So in any one has any good advice please post your top retailers.
By the way DVD is Philips 622 (any good)?

regards Maax

Also www.cd-wow.com
but you have to have a muti-region player as most of their films are region 1

I`d recommend Play.com (address given above) as the first stop for R1 and R2 releases. In spite of some of the whines you`ll see on this page, they`re generally reliable and nearly always the cheapest.

Other retailers perhaps have the edge for more specialised material. If you`re heavily into European films, TV programmes, etc, then check out: http://www.dvdzone2.com/ They are cheap and I`ve found them reliable (though you may wait a couple of weeks for the discs to arrive).

The best I`ve found for Hong Kong movies (and also some *very* cheap European movies) is http://www.dddhouse.com/. I`ve ordered from them a few times and the discs have always arrived within a week.

Future Entertainment (address above) has some outrageously cheap R1 releases. If you`re an avid buyer of DVDs, it`s worth while setting aside twenty minutes each week to go through their stock list, because some real gems get included.

If you need to do a price comparison across a whole range of sites, then try: http://www.dvdpricecheck.co.uk/.

As usual, caveat emptor.
