Page 1 of Scan`s Today Only offers....MUST try harder!

Take one of today`s super duper offers, for example. Let`s look at the Lite-on 24 speed cdrw rewriter bundled with 20 (count `em) Memorex 80 mins CDR`s in jewel cases, shall we?

Scan`s `Today only` special offer price = £122.20 incl next day del.(I`m assuming it`s retail boxed, but it doesn`t state!)

Wow, good price, or what?

Well, actually, err, no!

Let`s compare Scan`s `Today only` price with ebuyer`s EVERYDAY price, shall we?

Here goes:

Ebuyer`s EVERYDAY price for EXACTLY the same package = £111.78 (it states RETAIL BOX!)

An almost £11 saving! Why would anybody want to buy it from Scan??

And want a real laugh? It states on Scan`s site that the Lite-on drive will support disks up to 650mb/74 min capacity!

PS Scan`s EVERYDAY price on the above package actually comes to £137.18, or £25.40 MORE than ebuyer`s everyday price!!!

But its not stopping people buying it as everytime we put it on we sell
a lot.Remember no one is forcing you to buy the stuff and we have never
said it is the cheapest.There are 15 items on today and one is not the cheapest.Are you saying we are cheap on the other 14 items.How about
mentioning stuff that is actually cheap for a change.

the only trouble that i have found with scan is that by the time you add the p&p etc,it tends to turn out to be more expensive than other site`s

I had alot of trouble geting my money back from this company. I ordered one of these "One day offers" and used my VISA card to pay. It was a very good price at the time, even with delivery. But, no fault of SCAN, the motherboard was faulty, I presumed that it was the CPU fan controller on the motherboard, as the fan kept stopping! I sent this back to scan with their RMA number. It took them 1 week to accept the RMA number on the website, 3 weeks to find out what was the problem, and then a further 2 weeks to get my money refunded!!

They even said they refunded back to my VISA when they hadn`t. My VISA company clarified this.I even got my VISA card company to look into the refund from SCAN, as your protected upto around £35,000 should a compnay run away with your cash. I finally got the refund after been on the telephone for hours, and lost £10 on delivery. Not very good at all!

SCAN: Your products are cool, but learn something about customer service, quickly!!

PS. It was the fan controller on the motherboard!!!
