Page 1 of ScreenSelect - Do they tempt you back?

I`m thinking about cancelling my subscription to SS before my next billing date, when I`ll be charged full dollar (£14.99) for the 3 disc deal (currently on the £9.99 post-trial deal)

While their service has been generally good, there have been a few issues with overlong alloction times and sending out 2nd tier titles when I`ve got quite a list of 1st tier DVDs built up, which I wouldn`t think would be over-popular. Good, but not £14.99 a month good, and I really don`t think their other packages offer value for money.

If I cancel (where I have the option of selecting I would return) do they e-mail you any offers to tempt you back?

I`ve just been tempted back with a three months for the price of one offer that I received by post from them - £14.99 for the three disc deal. I expect i`ll cancel when this is up though as I had the same issues as you.

Blockbusters has always been the best for me when it comes to turnaround.

Blockbusters have offered me 2 months for £14.99. (£7.50 per month)

Screenselect have offered me 3 months for £14.99. (£5.00 per month)

I know SS have offered me an extra month for the same price but with Blockbuster I can`t help feeling I will get more movies in the 2 months tha SS in 3, as the last time I used SS they throttled my account quite heavily which BB have never done.

Pity they both made these offers in the same month. The world cup must be kicking into their profits.
