Customs Charges

Used DVD Pacific and was I pleased - yes I was actually.

As a fan of the Highlander series, I got the third season on DVD - for under £30.

Anyway, it came with another disc and I was fearing customs. They never stopped the package. In fact I have only paid Customs once (for Play USA) and it is something like 1 in 15 now. Anyone else doing really well or badly. From other threads, it is about an £18 spend - quite easy with a console game or a couple of DVDs.

Also, for any users of the site, I was well impressed by delivery times - one week and I only asked for the basic service.

Just gone and got a few boxsets (exc P&P) for around £13 for 5-6 discs. As a sci fi buff Earth Final Conflict was too good to resist at this price for complete seasons. Any fans of Beastmaster - any fans?? - they have first 2 seasons for similar price (£13).

How long do things take to arrive from DVD Pacific then? I ordered two DVDs from DVDSoon on Saturday & they`ve arrived today. I personally think that`s pretty good service.

Cheers

My deliveries seem to be when the ship docks at the start of the week. Tuesday delivery is common. I am guessing it is 7-10 days between order then invoice then delivery - and am loving it. 8)

Where else could you save so much money - can`t wait for Highlander series 4 to arrive and get for £35 ish - £15 less than the other US sites.

I am amazed by the RRP - Angel season 3 retails for well under £40 so you get the discount and buy more stuff crammed on for under £25. Just wish Martian Chronicles is released

Will everyone please SHUT UP with regards to DVDPacific and customs??? The more you lot go on about it (it has been said already and doesn`t need saying again until anything changes) the more likely someone will tip off someone else and then thats it NO MORE CHEAP IMPORTS...just like DVDSoon ;)

I disagree. Customs will catch on eventually, no matter what happens (they aren`t stupid). I doubt they had to go delving through forums to find out about DVDSoon - a few thousand parcels with `DVDSOON` stamped on the side would have been enough. ;)

Besides, these forums are for sharing information. If you want to keep secrets, join the Freemasons. :D

Mike G, I guess you don`t buy many import DVD`s then?...I do, just look at my collection and you will have to search hard for a BBFC symbol on the spines spoiling the view :D

Anyway, despite what most people say on here, I actually prefer an NTSC picture , I just find PAL pictures so...so, plain and uninvolving. I don`t know why that is I`m just always really annoyed with them...strange I know. :/

Anyway, look just keep quiet until after the ROTK:SE comes out...once I`ve got that R1 for a reasonable prce you can talk about Customs and DVDPacific as much and as loud as you like. :D deal?
