I have my new S-VHS VCR coming monday so need to find some cheap tapes?
Best I can see is £6.50 for one 3 hour tape!!
I only want to buy a couple for now
Dixons were selling 3 for £14.99 for 180 minute tapes. If you can get to a specialist shop (most likely will deal with digital cameras and other such stuff) then you can get them for about £3 each. They are expensive, but are worth it.
The quality you get from a DVD to S-VHS copy is pretty damn good!
Much better than the sh*tty VHS tapes you used to get anyway!
(not that I copy DVD`s or anything, some bloke down t` pub told me!)
Thanks. Will have a look in Dixons when in town Saturday.
I need an S-VHS VCR as I want to able to record teletext subtitles for the Mrs who is a bit deaf.
Copy DVD? No I make my own VCD/S-VCD`s for that.

thats where i get my SVHS tapes from.. and they`ve got good deals on audio cassettes
There is a specialist tape shop just off Tottenham Court Road and also near Edware Road. The latter is advertised in What Video.
Did you no that with a high quality VHS tape if your machine has a ET function you can record near the same quality.
What I have found with this function though is that the quality does deteriate when re-recorded.
Hey! Good link Haggis!
Nice prices!
Time to stock up on some S-VHS tapes methinks!
I bought the 3 pack from Dixons for £14.99 as I need them on Monday when my new VCR comes. I hope I dont need to buy any more?
£5.53 delivery on site above!! so 3 would be £14.38 ish.
I know about the ET quality on VHS tapes but I`m hoping I can record Teletext subtitles so the quality thing is not my main concern.
Great prices on that site but the P & P is a killer, bought mine from Dixons about 3 years ago when they where 2 JVC s-vhs tapes for a tenner. Tape on them every day and they are still perfect :-)
