New monitor recommendations

Snaps (Elite) posted this on Monday, 13th June 2022, 11:40

I'm thinking of upgrading to a 4k 27 inch curved monitor in a couple of months.
Does anyone have any opinions on these, or just some look for/avoids

We're not talking megabucks here so down the sensible end of the price scale, there even seem to be some around the £200.00 mark.

Should've asked first if this is even appropriate with a 5 year old PC or should I be looking at upgrading the video card as well.
Currently a Nvidia Geforce GTX 750 TI
Video cards a little outside my pay grade so not too many syllables folks.

Does ultrawide tempt you at all?

I can resist everything but temptation.
Only arguement against it, apart from price, is available real estate.
Restricted to just desk space and I'd like to have space for a second monitor. Just a 19 inch to maybe play about with coding.

Does that Eeek mean new card?

EDIT: Just been having a look at ultra wides. It would feel like putting a Ferrari body on a Volkswagen.
I think a 27inch or slightly bigger would suffice.

Porsche and Audi have been doing that for years!

I do like multiple monitors for coding, but I also know people who love ultrawides for them.

I got a Dell 27" monitor a year or two ago (not 4k, when I looked into it prices seemed sky high at that time) from Curry's outlet. I'm not quite sure why it was discounted because it appeared absolutely brand new and untouched.

I think they sometimes discount just because the box has been opened before it was returned.
