I don't think this one's fake. Been on a number of platforms inc the Beeb who did a piece on it last night with one of their tech journos who I'd trust.

This isn't just about Alexa supposedly ordering things by mistake (which I doubt too) but it ordering things by hearing a news article reporting it incorrectly ordering things. It isn't how Alexa works and it will ask for confirmation. The article is either a lie or, at best, deliberately leaving out key information and actions required that allow things to be ordered.
