Page 1 of N95 vs N95 8GB
PCs & Mobiles Forum
Hi Guys,
my mobi contract is due for renewal next month and i`m looking to replace
my trusty E61 with the N95.
question: i know the 8GB version is the latest of the two, but apart from having
a fixed amount of memory, what other differences are there?
does the nokia software updater make the original N95 more reliable?
tbh, it`ll be on the 3 network, but as with my E61, i`ll flash it with generic nokia
firmware to remove 3`s branding.
is the 8GB version the one to go for?
comments appreciated.

Cheers Chris,
been into the "3" store today...feck me, it`s a beast of a phone
isn`t it? i thought my E61 was big but that seems slimline in
comparison!!
anyhoo, regardless of the size i do like it lots as it has a lot of the
features that i`m already used to....the only downer being the lack
of a qwerty keyboard.

I`ve had the N95 8GB for a few months now and it really is a cracking phone. No crashes or lags, etc and the battery life is good.

Think biggest diffy is the ASR - Auto Screen Rotate enabled in the 8GB with the new firmware update. The normal one cant do it at all - I have one, and am cursing this fact.

Can`t comment on the original N95, but the 8GB is amazing. A mate of mine works behind a bar, dropped his in a bucket of slops last night and it still works.
thanks for the comments guys...much appreciated.
N95 8GB its seems to be then.

The barcode reader on these is fun. Once you work out how to use it anyway.

Not radio controlled, 1:1 scale. The full monty etc. It is the car, not the RC version. Happily driven about 1000 miles in it already...
