Hi
I have just purchased a belkin wireless adaptor g+, for my desktop, I am currently trying to set it up with a speedtouch 706 wl i / router from virgin. the adaptor picks the connection up from the router, and states that it is very strong, when i goto a interent page it states that this page is not available offline and goto the tools setting and check your internet connections, I am a little new to wireless so I am going by a lot of help scripts, even by the windows help screen, but still the same problem. all i am trying to do is acces the internet, and need a few ideals as to what the problem may be and how it may be rectified, i am presuming that if i have a connection with the router that the set up on the pc is wrong, please can anyone advise

Shouldnt be anything set in the Tools- Internet Options at home as you wont have a proxy server. Check you dont have IE set to Work Offline. I think it is in the File menu.

Hi

are you sure you`ve actually "connected" to the router and aren`t just seeing
the wireless broadcast?

did you enter a WEP or preferrably WPA key?
