Page 1 of Idiot`s guide to transfer DVDs onto ipod!

kids received ipods video 30gb for Christmas. Has anyone successfully transferred DVDs onto their ipods using a PC not a MAC with the minimum of fuss?

looked on the web but doesn`t seem to be one ideal way, always someone with ptoblems whatever the method.

Actually I have roxio easy media creator 9 and found out it has an ipod transfer bit but not worked it out properly yet as a file seem to convert in real time 1h for a 1h movie

Don`t be suprised if it takes that long to do. DVD file are generally quite big, so any compression and file conversion is going to take some time to do.
