Page 1 of Problems with Outlook - can`t delete messages & doesn`t show new messages

Got Outlook 2003 installed and suddenly it won`t let me delete messages from my inbox. An error comes up saying something is wrong with the interface and to restart Outlook. I do that and it still comes up with the same error. I have tried to uninstall Outlook and reinstall it but each time I uninstall it and restart and reinstall it comes up as if I hadn`t uninstalled it - with all the folders and files still intact, and the same error message. Can anybody help with this please as I ca`t download any mails either, it shows as the messages are being downloaded, but they don`t show up in the inbox.

Followed instructions for that, but still no good.

Does anyone know why it won`t uninstall properly? I ask this because when i reinstall it the account is set up as before, and all the old emails are there too.

Do a search for *.pst files. One of these will be the reason that it is remembering your settings. The pst file stores emails and account info. Move the pst file to a new location and set up the account again and see if that works.

Had to do a new .pst file in another set of folders (not the personal folders)
