Hi all i hope someone can help me, i recently bought a laptop 2nd hand but it was fairly new and all was good, now it takes about 15mins to boot up and is very slow responding, anyone any ideas?

Virus? Trojan? Full of rubbish? remove unneeded programmes How much free disk space is left? Memory sticks OK? More memory? Laptop spec vis software match ? Defrag? Check cancel hungry programme running processess? try downloading winpatrol

Reformat & start again with a complete fresh install of the OS & applications.
I consider myself an optimist, albeit an optimist with cynical tendencies and a dark side that Lucifer himself would find a little creepy. (Perhaps you've noticed.) You don't normally associate cynicism with an upbeat pov. But I have exactly that combination and will defend it.
