PCs & Mobiles Forum
Brought a new Epson stylus printer D68 on friday installed it friday night saturday morning printed a picture and some writing everying printed ok came to print another picture and some writing today and my computor keeps freezing and other times iam getting an error message cant understand why its suddenly gone wrong ive called Epson they seem to think the printers ok and theres a problem with my computor
can anyone help please
It is highly likely that the PC is at fault rather than the printer (although that doesn`t mean the printer is not at fault). What is the error you receive? I will know some fixes depending on the error (eg. if it`s a print spooler issue, or DLL issue I may be able to help). You may need to reinstall the drivers too but that it is unlikely to have become corrupted so quickly. Maybe it is a print spooler error but without the error message it is difficult to eliminate the possibilities.

RE: HELP with a Epson printer
I would suggest as a first port of call, re-install all the software you got with it.

Go that way, really fast. If something gets in your way, turn...
And those who dance will spin and turn,
And those who wait will wait no more,
And those who talk will hear the words,
And those who see will fade and die,
And those who laugh will surely fall,
And those who know will always feel their backs against the thin wall...
Since ive posted ive managed to print a picture off went to print another off and the computer froze again cant understand why it works then it doesnt the error message i get is error :OE : 0028 : C002BD0E
The error looks like it is caused by the driver but what is the full error message - is it Page Fault or cannot execute error or similar?
What happens is the screen turns blue and at the top it says windows then it says An error has occurred to continue : press enter to return to windows or press CTRL + ALT +DEL to restart your computor if you do this you will loose any unsaved information in all open applications Error : OE : 0028 : C002BDOE
Mmmm, I have a feeling that this isn`t the printer driver and it may be caused by third party add-ons, possibly Internet Explorer (and you can still get it even if Internet Explorer is closed down),
If after reinstalling the drivers you get no luck I think it`s worth rebuilding the software on your PC. I am inclined to agree with Epson and believe that the trouble lies elsewhere and suspect Internet Explorer (after some dodgy downloads whether intentionally or not).
I suspect you also get illegal operation errors and it points to invalid memory access. Many of these kinds of problems is caused by Internet Explorer plug ins which is why I suspect that might be the cause (the plug ins - not IE itself).
Thanks for your help i will try uninstalling the printer software then reintalling it
