Can anyone help me, I bought two unlocked phones from ebay. when they arrived i tried them with my kids sim cards one O2 and one vodafone and they worked. but my problem is the setting are still on the orange network. The start up screen still comes up with orange. Does anyone know how i can stop the phone bringing up the original service providers logo. someone told me that if they were unlocked properly in the first place they should not have the original orange settings left in. Can anyone tell me if this is true and can i get rid of the orange settings

thanks all help welcome

Sounds like the phones are unlocked but not debranded.
The phones can be unlocked so that other provider sim cards can be used, but they still have the firmware loaded to the phone (in this case Orange) when it was supplied. Most of the operators do this to their phones to enhance the users experience >:( (make the phone unable to use non drm mp3 files - Vodafone!).

Sorry, but I think that if you want to debrand the phone as well, it`ll cost some more :( . On the other hand, it should be OK, just live with the Orange logo.

Hope it helps

Have you tried switching it on........?
