You should be able to save the text as a WAV file. There are loads of programs out there that will convert your WAV files to MP3s.

How do you save a text file as a WAV? I have found a few programmes (one of them being YesSoft Text to MP3) that will save text file as an MP3.
All I wanted to know before I take the jump is if the apps work as they say.
Thanks
JC

Well what i am trying to do is as I am learning foreign languages,(Spanish right now), to copy some text from a book, article etc and listen to it. The software I mentioned in one the post earlier you can apparently buy foreign languages voices. What I am not sure is the accuracy of it.

Sorry I misunderstood your question, Jean. I do not know the accuracy of these programs but you don`t need to save them as WAV files if they already save the text as MP3.

Try TTS Demo it speaks your typed text and there are a number of different voices you can try.

Thanks Gavin, this is pretty cool. It is exactly what I am after, only problem it is limited to 300 words and I can`t see a commercial version to buy (am I wrong?). The other software I have mentioned does the same think except that you can save the audio file as a MP3 and obviously load it onto a player. Thanks very much for the info

JC :)

This is the only version that I have seen. You can save the converted text file but it is in wav format. You can have a lot of fun with it.
