My mate had that last year with his K700, was well pi**ed off about it as you can imagine, so he sent it back and asked for a non-Vodafone branded one, and they sent him one within a couple of days. Try it, you never know

Yeah, I Know

Or you could ask assistance from a fellow forum user ***cough - Dave West - cough***, might even be able to help him earn a bit of commission?

There is a Sony Ericson utility for creating your own DRM files, then you can make your MP3s into a ringtone. PM me if you want it mailing.

Have to admit it is a real pain though. My old Nokia 6600 that i got online and unbranded started playing up so I walked into the Vodafone shop, got a free upgrade to a new phone. Only realised a month later that it was locked down tight. :-(

If you feel upto it, you could have a look at this forum for flashing (de-branding) your K750i:
www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=95662&start=0

Or you could go directly to the Da Vinci team flashing site
www.davinciteam.com/index.php?page=latestnews

To use their downloads you have to first buy credits (about £7each - shoparound) which you then spend when you actually flash your phone. A friend of mine did this with his Vodaphone branded K700i and was very pleased with the results.
I was lucky, and got an unbranded K750i (thanks Reestit :) ) from Onestopphoneshop :¦ .

Have you tried switching it on........?

Well I oreieved my k750 on Thursay and was to be honest , I quite like the phone.

That was until last night. I went out to the pub with a few mates and put the phone in my back pocket and Guess what ? I now have a 750 with a lovley cracked screen ! :(

Now call me stupid , but I was under the impression that mobiles are designed to take a few gentle bangs but just from sitting on it I now have to try to fiddle the phone insurance to get it repaired.

After looking at the phone , the outer plastic case iis toutching the lcd screen which I consider a fault.

Any ideas where i stand with vodafone on this or is it an insurance job ?
