Wavelab 5.0 DVD-Audio creation for normal DVD player?

phonoline (Harmless) posted this on Tuesday, 26th April 2005, 00:52

Hi there,
am new here and already got a question... I got Wavelab 5.0 and have created my first DVD-Audio with it, only to see that my Philips DVD player, a 3 yeras old regular model, can`t play it. It says it is a DVD-Audio and then ejects it. Do I have to change anything in the settings of my DVD player (it`s not a DVD-Audio Player), can I run DVD Audios anyway on such machines, and if not, how can I create a DVD-Audio with Wavelab 5.0 that actually runs on my player? Will I have to use another DVD authoring tool or can I burn Hybrid-DVDs with Wavelab, too?

uh, questions, questions.... I am just lookin` for a good tool that can creat DVD audio that runs on any regular dvd video player.

Would be glad to hear from you,
thanx
Alex

No.
DVD-Audio is a completely different format and is NOT compatible with a non DVD-A capable player.
You cannot use WaveLab to create a hybrid either for 2 reasons:
1/. It will NOT author the Video_TS folder you need
2/. If you import a Video_TS into WaveLab, you cannot link into it either.

You cannot do what you need with this application
