Andy_R (Elite) posted this on Tuesday, 15th March 2005, 01:12

Everytime I go on the internet and click on a search engine to type in a search word all my other previous search words keep on popping up in a list form!!

Is there any way I can get rid of this??

Many thanks....

To get rid of those stored:
Tools
Internet Options
General
Delete Cookies/Files/History

So it doesn`t happen again:
Tools
Internet Options
Content
Auto Complete
Untick whatever you want to untick
Clear Forms
OK
OK

Another way to do it is highlight the term in question, hold shift and press delete. This will get rid of individual terms. Handy if you enter your username etc. incorrectly in a form, and then have two similar entries.
