Page 1 of system restore info plz

:/ hi pc running like a piece a poop,searched for viruses.spyware ect still the same.a lot of the things i try to open keep saying,the dynamic link library bt hook.dll could not be found in specified path blablabla so on,Q1 how do a restore system and what does that do (pc clueless :( ) windows2000,have norton ghost and discs with backed up files on is that more or less doing the same thing not that a no how to work that either lol,but at end of tether going to try sumthin but what.plz help :D

My guess is that since it says BT youve badly uninstalled a BT dialler or broadband. Try re-installing it and then uninstalling again. Failing that, you may have downloaded a P2P or other such software that includes a nasty spyware pack. Then when you ran a spyware killer it also murdered the program.

you dont have a lot of luck with your PC do you? My advice (judging by your previous posts) would be to f*** off doing a sys restore and just get someone to re-install windows from scratch for you.

A quick search on Google suggests that bthook.dll is installed with PalTalk (installed as part of Morpheus. If you have either of the above on your PC (or have ever had them installed) try completely removing them by following the instructions here.
