Sheet Fed Scanner

thebiff (Mostly Harmless) posted this on Saturday, 18th December 2004, 16:03

I`m thinking of getting a new scanner and would like a sheet fed one so i can just dump 20 or 30 sheets into it and scan them as a batch. I dont want a singe sheet flatbed again.
Has anyone got any ideas or even got one like this and can give me the benefit of their experience.

Hi

we have a HP machine at work which operates the way you mention.
can`t remember the model name or number though...

plus, it connects upto the network via TCP/IP rather than being connected
to a single machine..

**edit** just found said item on HP`s website......ooooer, bit pricy :o

Ste.

...do you hat my new like?!?

Slightly more reasonably priced is the HP 5590, with ADF.

£255 including VAT at Ebuyer. Didn`t look elsewhere, but you might be able to track one down for just over the £200 mark. Obviously isn`t as fancy as the one Ste recommended 8)

Many thanks, the HP (cheaper one :) ) is exactly what i`m looking for. I`ll see if the price drops in the sales and then get one.

Cheers
