HELLO, i need a new motherboard for my pc, can anyone recommend a new and cheap motherboard to use with my amd athlon 1800xp processer socket A and 512 sdram???

also i have come across a few motherboard with are ddr and sdram - does this mean i can use my sd ram in these motherboards???

have a look on ebuyers website for the pc chips & asus motherboards.
you can get them from £15 to £35.

with regard to using DDR & SDRam...it wont work, it`s either one or the other
and tbh, i`m not sure the XP1800 will work with SDRam anyway.

It`s the motherboard that determines the type of RAM, not the processor. Some Athlon XP boards use SDR, others take DDR.

I have an ECS K7S5A which takes either SDR or DDR - but as you say, you can`t use both types of memory at the same time.
