Video editing on the PC - specific effect required

Miles (Elite Donator) posted this on Monday, 11th October 2004, 11:18

Hi all

I do quite a lot of video editing, and have started making my own video transitions and effects using Windows Movie Maker 2 (an app which I think is pretty damn good for free!).
However, there is one effect that I`d like which I can`t create, which is to have to video streams side by side, like the cut scenes featured in "24". I.E. the video streams reduced to about 1/3 of it`s original size, one on the left, one on the right and then a black surround.

However, I can`t find a video editing package that does this - anyone got any ideas on it?

Thanks
Miles

You can create title frames oin Pinnacle Studio that have multiple moving video. Done it as title but never as a transition.
