Your phone has to be capable of working on 1800 networks. Genaraly, mobile phones made a few years back would only work on 1900 or 1800. This is where dual band came from.
Many new mobile phones manufactured from around 2003 (2002 earlist) onwards are dual band and some like the 7250i are tri-band to work in a few states of the USA.
So if your mobile simpaly will not work on the 1800 network then I`m afrade its off down to get a new phone! sorry.
If I remember right:
O2 and Vodafone work on the 1900 signal.
Whilst T-mobile and Orange work on the 1800 signal.
Virgin use the T-mobile network to provide service.
Whilst Tesco mobile use the O2 network to provide a service.
If I have any of those detals wrong, please correct me, thanks!

If you are in Egypt and pass through Cairo, try Carfore, the supermarket in maadi just off the ring road. or Baghdad Street, heliopolis has a computer market near Metro`s. If you are near sharm there is a mobile shop near the bus terminal. Infact they are everywhere!
They sell mobiles there, cheaper and sooner than we can get them in the UK.
Other than that an Orange phone bought from UK will work in Egypt but will need to be unlocked. I use EG Click or Vodaphone in Egypt. Don`t use Mobilnil it is rubbish. A phone from the USA will not work in Egypt unless it is dual/tri band. Trust me I have tried.

RE: Plz if any one have solution send it to meeee
No, have just visited Egypt a few times, Lived in Wales all my life, my parents moved to Cairo a few years ago with work so have been out to visit them a few times.
Just give up on the phone you have, new phones are cheap enough in Egypt and come with arabic and english keypads, like I said new phones in Egypt are cheaper than we can get them in the UK. Even if you could change your old phone it would probably be cheaper to buy a new one
All the best
Ger.
